Product Line Overview
Night lights are a classic "silicone over electronics" build: the LED board, battery and touch module are assembled first, then encapsulated in silicone. The hard parts are not crushing components during encapsulation, keeping the glow even, and surviving a drop. We treat the lamp body as a structural part — board dimensions and locating features are settled before styling.
Process & Certifications
Two common builds: a split silicone shell that snaps together around the electronics, which is easier to rework, or full overmolding, which feels best but demands more from tool and process. Light-transmitting walls run 1.5–3 mm: thinner gives hot spots, thicker loses brightness; areas that should not glow get masterbatch or a second silicone layer so light only passes through the intended outline. The board is located by mold pins, and injection pressure must match compound flow or components shift.
Applications
Bedside and entryway ambience, kids’ rooms, gift and home retail, and licensed IP shapes. The squeezable feel that silicone encapsulation provides is itself a selling point — but note that powered products carry electrical-safety requirements per market, so the certified electronic module is supplied by the client or tested separately; we are responsible for the silicone structure and cosmetic parts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you make the electronics as well?+
We make the silicone structure and cosmetic parts, not certified electronics. Normally the client supplies the certified LED board, battery and touch board, and we design locating features and encapsulation around them. We can help introduce module suppliers, but electrical safety and certification stay with the electronics party.
How do you avoid hot spots and uneven glow?+
Start with wall thickness: 1.5–3 mm is a stable range, and thin spots become hot spots. Distance between board and silicone matters too — too close concentrates light. A diffuser over the board or a matte inner surface helps, and areas that should not glow are masked with masterbatch or a second silicone layer.
What is your MOQ and sampling lead time?+
From 50 pcs, small-batch trials supported. Free 1-3 samples (customer pays shipping); sampling 5-7 working days; mass production 15-25 days.
